EMPLOYMENT

When seeking employment opportunities, students should seek employment opportunities that would in no way compromise their Christian testimony. A work environment should be safe, without undue risk of physical or emotional harm. Students should not work in an environment that requires them to sell pornographic or occult material. Students wishing to work in an establishment that serves alcoholic beverages in a ‘family style’ atmosphere must first submit a written request to the Dean of Students for review and approval. Employment in certain ‘family style’ restaurants may be given approval; a student will not be allowed to work in a ‘bar’ environment or work as the ‘bartender’ in a restaurant. The University reserves the right to review a student's employment and to ask the student to resign from a position that does not meet these requirements.
