The University is proud to announce the renaming of Olivet College of Information Technology to Olivet Institute of Technology (OIT).

University leaders echoed alumni, staff, and students in statements explaining that the changed name is more reflective of the college's identity and future goals. "With today's diversified and integrated advanced technology, the name change will more accurately represent our college goal of preparing ministry-bound students in the new technology world," said Dr. Ching-Cheng Lee, OIT Dean and Professor.

"The word 'institute' implies both educational and technological, which is more appropriate for school," said OIT Program Director William Wong. "And information technology is a subset of a broad range of disciplines we seek to capture, including a variety of areas in computer sciences," he added.

Located nearby Silicon Valley, America's leading high-tech hub, OIT is positioned as the leading center of its kind for training ministry-bound students.
