Students from Olivet Institute of Technology participated at the Oracle Open World conference in San Francisco's Moscone Center this week.  The gathering is a great opportunity for the students to get firsthand experience in the new and emerging technologies related to Oracle, whom is a leading provider for database systems and solutions.

"Seeing is important in the field of technology.  Even a small glance of innovation can challenge and inspire people to develop further," stated William Wong, OIT Programs Director.

Being one of the biggest annual conventions in San Francisco, Oracle Open World is dedicated to helping enterprises of all sizes use technology to solve their business challenges.  The coverage spans from new high density servers to emerging software solutions that optimize database load.

Students were able to speak with company representatives and delve into the details of corporate IT.  Although many of the courses at OIT are theoretical, student can see the application of their studies in the real world.  The students look forward to more conventions in the future.

The convention will last from November 11-15.
