Students of Olivet Institute of Technology (OIT) are being treated to a special lecture series on JavaScript, hosted at Yahoo’s main campus in Sunnyvale, California.  The lecture series is being conducted by Yahoo’s senior JavaScript architect Douglas Crockford.

JavaScript is an important topic for student of OIT since it is the primary web programming language of choice for Client side programs.  Yahoo! is largest website in the world with an extensive network of web services so JavaScript is integral in the day to day website operation.  OIT students marveled at the opportunity to learn from the industry leaders.

Most of the students attending the lecture series, attended as part of the WE250 Website Design and Technology coursed offered by OIT this Spring Semester.  The purpose of attending the lecture series is to combine learning in the classroom with input from experienced professionals in the field.
