Apple WWDC Stirs Up Inspiration for OIT Students

  • June 15, 2012
Olivet Institute of Technology (OIT) students once again participated in this year's Apple Annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.

Apple introduced its latest and greatest mobile operating system iOS 6 and updated versions of OX X Lion and iCloud.  Many of Olivet's students have been following the conference as many Apple devices are utilized throughout campus.

One of the more exciting announcements from the conference is the new lineup of MacBook Pro laptops.  Other debuts include the Siri voice application for iPad, Safari for iOS updates, iCloud sync with iOS devices, and new Apple's Maps app.  Features such as photo streaming and special notifications sent from a VIP are now attached to inline messages.

OIT students participation in Apple's conference provides them with the latest developments in the mobile industry.  The apps and new technology provide students with opportunities to develop apps of their own that can contribute to the missions field.  Interaction with other developers across the country is sure to inspire the new class of Olivet IT students.
